Malden Plane Crash

On May 12, 2026, a NATO F/A-181 Black Wasp II crashed just south of Malden’s Airport at approximately 1:45 am.

The crash occurred after the aircraft reportedly conducted an unstable landing attempt on Runway 36 before initiating a go-around and crashing moments later just south of the runway in the Bosquet locality east of Saint Louis.

The pilot identified as Fighter Pilot Jamie Wilson survived after ejecting shortly before impact and was treated by paramedics on scene. The ejection seat and canopy of the plane were found in the area near the wreckage.

No power lines or civilian homes were damaged despite the aircraft striking treetops and destroying a warehouse structure. The crash did not result in any fatalities.
