I was thinking about this combo and would love to build a Chevill deck around it. Then it hit me that it might not actually work the way I imagined.

Do you guys know how the timing works here?

If I cast Nurgle’s Rot targeting a creature while controlling Legolas, Master Archer, does Nurgle’s Rot attach before Legolas deals the damage? Or does Legolas trigger first, potentially killing the creature before Nurgle’s Rot resolves, causing the aura to fizzle and go to the graveyard instead?
