Why smelling weird right after entering the city perimeters. Just got food poisoning and haven't eaten anything from here.

Hi folks, I am having trouble with my phev 2024. So when I drive around city energy flow never goes to engine to wheels but only goes to engine to generator to battery to wheels. I wonder why's that.
