i got a 5 on the apwh exam when i was in middle school! here are all the tips that helped me:

  • PRACTICE TESTS! collegeboard posts past tests so pls grind these! also they REUSE THE QUESTIONS!! when i took the exam i saw multiple questions with same diagrams and same wordings that were in my practice tests!!
  • try to get the unicorn point on the DBQ and LEQ! skip writing the conclusion paragraph for ur essays. i wrote 10 body paragraphs for my LEQ and for my DBQ i wrote a counterargument (each body paragraph of the LEQ had a piece of evidence--i was aiming to get the unicorn point of 4+ evidence) -- i had a 40 minutes left in total for the DBQ and LEQ!
  • i have no advice on FRQ's since they are my weakest imo
  • study units 3 and 4 like its engraved in your head. i studied those units the most since they weighed the most and it genuinely helped because most of those units were on the exam when i took it
  • i bought the heimler packet and i would say it didnt help me that much, i studied for 1 week (the week before the exam) because i was extremely sick the week and i would say it didnt help me that much, focus on watching the videos and doing brain dumps
  • i used heimler gpt to grade all my practice FRQ, DBQ, LEQ, and MCQ's and i think it really helped me: https://deaplearning.com/courses/ap-world-history/chat?mode=learn&workshopMode=grader

you guys got this!

ok so i go to a really competitive and highly ranked hs and so far ive gotten a 4.0 and i think i will for both semesters of freshman year

classes: ap calc bc, chem, biotech, manufacturing class (dual enroll), ap csp, ap seminar, spanish3-4, and pe

  • i dont think im gonna stand out that much though because like my class size is ~170 students and like ~40 of these students are going into ap calc bc next year with me
  • also theres STEM pathways at my school and i think ima do the engineering one for sure but idk if i wanna do comp sci or biotech but im leaning towards comp sci

dual enrollment: im also trying to take more dual enrollment classes and i want to know like what classes should i take? im planning to take a dual enrollment class to learn c++ in the fall semester of sophomore year but idk what else i should or shouldnt do

summer: im taking world over the summer through a community college (i got a 5 on the exam in middle schol) and precalc over the summer and im planning to study for the sat, amc 10, and learn/deepen coding and CAD

do you guys have any tips or anything i should be doing too? i wanna get into a top college like stanford, mit, or cornell
