Just wanted to share something that I've been using for awhile that may assist others with their hunt.

The USGS has a downloadable text document that contains all of the official named geographic locations. This way you could theoretically search the document for any locations named "bear", or whatever search criteria you want. You will want to download the file called DomesticNames, and once that is done, there will be a sub folder for each individual state that you can search. The formatting of the document is trash, but the information itself is very useful.
