Is it not possible to create a system storage pool on NVME M.2 drives instead of SSDs? I have a MODEL: TS-h1277XUI-RP and even when I remove all of the SSD drives and try to initialize and startup, the NAS won't budge until I install at least one SSD installed. Why doesn't Qnap want my system operating on faster storage media?
Anybody have recommendations on a good network scanner? Ideally, I'd like to run something like Domotz from my NAS. But I'm a little perplexed about setting up firewall rules for a device that must have access to all my vlans. For instance, if I provide the trunk line on my switch for Domotz to run, does that compromise the other firewall rules that I have assigned to my NAS?
So after trying to fix SSH access to my OPNsense router I'm totally locked out. Neither SSH nor the usb console port on the router will accept my admin passwords, either root or the second admin I created for the device. So I guess I'm going to have to reset the router. Any advice on doing that and whether the config files that I saved to my PC can restore my previous configuration?
EDIT: Thanks to everyone. Support told me to try this guide: https://docs.opnsense.org/troubleshooting/config_reset.html Since the router is still switching traffic, I'll wait until the weekend when there are no users on the network and see how it goes. . .
Any OPNsense experts in the Washington, D.C. area? I need help with VLAN configuration.
