I have an old 06 monte carlo that my family bought new, but shes getting old as hell now and im slowly making repairs to it. But a long time problem this car has had is the doors seem to have 0 support, they creak when moving and the slightest wind push will slam that door on your shins as your trying to get out of it and it feels like it weighs a kazillion pounds.

Ive looked into it being a possible check strap problem, does anyone know where I can purchase some for these cars? Ive looked on rock auto and auto parts stores and can’t find any.
