Last week, my partner and I had a fight, and I asked him if I was hard to love. He said yes and proceeded to explain that I can be difficult sometimes, but he still chooses me every day and continues to stay. I let it pass because I admit that I sometimes make things difficult too.

But last night, we had a huge fight again, and I asked him if I make his life heavier. He said yes. He told me that there are times when I add to the stress he already feels from his family and work.

Right now, I’m confused if it’s possible to claim that you love someone and at the same time say those things right to their face.
