When the people around Jinshi say, “You never get attached to your toys” that’s a LIE! We see that he does get attached to his toys, and it’s just that they always took them away when he started to get attached. They always gave him a new one so that wouldn’t happen, but it backfired horribly! The difference is that MaoMao isn’t going anywhere, so technically, they can’t give him a new “toy” to “play” with.
