I have a friend with whom I can identify various logical reasons why I no longer want to be friends with them. For context, I was very close to this person but we both moved to different areas and we both have gone through some major life events. I feel that we just don't have a lot in common.

But if I'm being honest, the reason I no longer want to be friends with this person is because I just don't trust them. Over the years, I felt this growing sense of not being able to trust this person. But I don't have any evidence of betrayal or anything like that to go off of. I just intuitively feel like I can't trust them.

Just wondering if anyone's ever experienced this before in a relationship?
