Getting really sick of spotify..

It’s not just Spotify. It seems like every single app is becoming extremely glitchy and unusable recently. But I use spotify everyday so that’s what i’m gonna rant about rn.

First of all, shuffle has been absolutely USELESS for at least two years now. you could have 8,000 songs in a playlist, but god forbid if you choose a song on your own or you’re connected to another device or WHATEVER, shuffle will reset your queue to the same exact songs that it started with in the same exact order. every time. and nothing fixes this. it is so infuriating. And smart shuffle? Also completely useless. Be prepared to get recommended the same 4 artists over and over and a bunch of songs that are ALREADY in your playlist, but hey maybe it’s the EP version 🙄

Secondly, being connected to another device in general on Spotify feels like you’re trying to add an image into a Google Doc without it messing up the entire page. Whether you’re connected to a TV, an Alexa/Google speaker, trying to do a jam session with a friend etc.. the app becomes 5x more glitchy and always makes me wanna throw my phone out the window. Also, not sure if anyone else is experiencing this right now, but I have a TCL TV and for the past few days the Spotify app has been broken. Half of the screen becomes grey/black and pixelated. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app twice now, and it still doesn’t work.

Anyways, just needed to vent because i’ve been using Spotify for like 12 years now and it is so frustrating to watch it get worse and worse :/ it used to be so seamless.
