After waiting over 30 minutes for my bus this morning, I checked the advisory site to plan an alternate route to work. I was surprised to see that my bus routes weren’t listed, not because there were no delays, but because they weren’t even published as active lines on the NJ Transit site.
Meanwhile, the line of people kept growing, and then three buses showed up back-to-back, each already packed with standing passengers.
My theory is that they’re trying to maintain good performance metrics, so the most delayed buses are simply removed from the site.
Take a look—there’s no mention of the 128, 168, 166, or 165. This makes it seem like there are no delays or issues on the routes they choose to display.
