What I am enquiring here stands on the intersection of Jainism and folk wisdom.
I'm trying to understand whether there are parallels here or am I making things up.
- When they say "oh you can achieve anything"
Is this a true statement in it's limited context that
> You being your soul
has infinite power and knowledge to the point where you can literally do anything (even technically become a tirthankar - that being the pinnacle of success a soul can achieve)
- If that were true, what is it that obstructs the soul from realizing it's true potential?
Why is it that some souls tend to always be in a better position due to their actions and decisions and some always destitute? (In the limited context of a single lifetime)
- building up on above: what is it that a soul must do to ascend it's current state?
I seek forgiveness and patience as the undertone in this question seeks to have success within the material realm we live in.
