I need some urgent help regarding a refund issue, as the standard Booking.com customer support hasn't been able to resolve my problem.
I accidentally booked hotels that I believed had a "pay at property" option. It turned out that this option was actually unavailable for those specific hotels, and my card was charged immediately for the stay. I realized the mistake and cancelled these bookings right away.
The app's refund tracker initially stated that the process takes 7 to 12 days. It showed as processing on the first step, which was perfectly fine, and I was prepared to wait. However, later that same evening, I checked the app again and saw that it had suddenly updated. It now shows that all three refund steps are already "Completed".
Despite the app claiming the refund is completely finished, I haven't received any funds back on my card. I have attached screenshots to this post showing the timeline and the final completed status.
I read that Booking.com representatives sometimes monitor this subreddit and help users directly. If there is a Booking.com rep here, please contact me ASAP. Any advice from fellow travelers who have experienced this exact glitch would also be highly appreciated!
