Mother’s Day is coming up, and as I’m starting to organize and clean for the weekend, I’m already regretting it. No matter the occasion, who comes over, or how hard I clean, my husband always has to leave his shit EVERYWHERE. We have two bookshelves that through the years I’ve dressed up with antiques, art, etc. Usually I’m easy going and not a neat freak, but as a SAHM with a degree in design, it gives me a small bit of purpose to decorate my house when there’s a party or guests. I try to make designated spots for his junk (coins, random bills/ torn envelopes/ chapstick/ receipts/ nail clippers 🤢) but I guess that’s too much to ask. It’s strewn across our bookshelves or credenza. The funny thing is, he’s the “clean one” 🙄 and if I move any of his bullshit he flips out because he’ll lose it forever.

In addition to primping and putting together a nice outfit for date night, always put aside some boring jeans and a t-shirt for when grandma calls and cancels hours before! Hope this helps!
