Advice to learn Linux
Hello all! The latest security update for Windows nearly wrecked my gaming laptop, and I (living in Brasil) cannot afford to replace the whole thing. Working with a friend back in the states to get a desktop sorted, but in the meantime, I would like to start educating myself on Linux. I've used it a tiny bit in the past, when an ex put it on my computer, but he had no clue what he was doing or how to explain it.
It also broke more than it helped at the time.
If anyone can guide me to somewhere to learn about it that isn't going to get me flooded with viruses or break something in my PC if I do something wrong, that would be so very helpful. Most of what I do is PC gaming, and some streaming. So I mostly just need Discord, Steam, and the basics to work. If that helps at all.
