Why so many one ofs?

Why so many one ofs?

Was looking at Pyke decks from S3 Suzhou Regional Open and I'm stuck trying to understand this one at 16th place. There's a lot of single copies of cards and even with the card draw it has it seems to me like a lot of eggs in one basket. Can anyone see the gameplan here or what makes these decisions make sense?

EDIT: Also still very confused about tideturner in general, what is its purpose even? I could never figure out how to utilize it.

Please, Let's not turn Riftbound into the dumpster fire that Pokemon turned into.

I understand It's still a new game and it'll take time for things to settle but I swear there's more discussion here some days about pull rates and finance and people screenshotting their orders and yapping about shipping than the actual game itself, It's exhausting.

I see people talking about how they order CASES to pull ONs and I start to feel a certain way. I know collectors are an important part of any healthy TCG especially with such a strong IP behind it but please moderate yourselves, It only takes one influencer with too much money and zero impulse control to ruin the entire primary and secondary market for years, and we already had to deal with shortages twice.

TL;DR

Buy singles, support your LGS, control your gambling habits and stop posting about what came in the mail today, it's weird.

change da world my final message. Goodb ye
