How do you cope with insane heat?
We're currently facing the hottest days/weeks ever in central europe and my body is completly shutting down.
I'm trying to fit in training sessions very early, but even at 6-7am it's 25 degrees celsius and sunny as hell already. Since I'm also living in a big city, the heat is stifling with barely any wind.
Running isn't working at all, my pulse is literally 10-15 beats higher and I'm drowning in sweat after 10 mins of running which causes some bad circulation issues.
Swimming still works obviously, so no issue there, but even the bike completly messes up my nutritioning as I easy need another 2 full bottles of water/salt just to cope with my sweating.
I know raceday could also hold this weather, but this is legitimately the hottest ever recorded summer (yet)
Ironman 70.3 Kraichgau 2027 date?
Hi,
anyone of you with an idea when the race could be or if it's happening in 2027? Most other races have their dates set including registrations, Kraichgau is still tbd.
I'm wondering because I deferred my start from this year to next year due to surgery, hence why I could use some planning in advance for other races.
[WATCHALONG THREAD] World Cup 2026 - Day 1
Since we will have even more games than during the EC, we decided to create the Watchalong thread again, so people will have a dedicated place to discuss every game.
As the majority of people is still majorly interested in Germany games, Germany will get dedicated match threads as usual.

sport.sky.deTonsillectomy changed my life
I just wanted to encourage you to do the surgery, especially if you have constant streps and/or sickness related to it. My tonsils were also really enlarged because of the constant infections.
I'm doing lots of endurance sports these last years and always felt like I have a hard time progressing and felt really unfit most of the time.
Then, I had tonsillits 6x from october to march, which resulted in the desicion to take out my tonsils. Turns out (well obviously) I had developed a chronic tonsillitis and even in the breaks where I felt alright and didn't take antibiotics, I was still technically infected and ill.
It's now more or less 2 months after my surgery and I swear to god I've never felt so amazing in my life. Not only can I breath better, it really just also feels like I'm finally fully healthy. I think I made more progress, sports wise, in these last 6 weeks than I did in a year.
Yeah the healing process kinda sucks but it's so so worth. And I say that as someone that even had a bleeding 5 days in, resulting in another hospital stay.
1860 Fans smuggled a big FC Bayern emblem to the championship celebration. Instead of "FC Bayern München", it had "FC Bayern Son of B*tches* written on it. It took some time until the action was noticed.

kicker.deMoin,
19.11. - 25.11. Chiang Mai inklusive Laternenfest
25.11 - ~ 01.12. Khao Lak
01.12. - 03.12. - Khao Sok (so ne klassische 2D1N Bungalow Lake Tour)
