It probably isn't anything special, but my mother has had this in her collection for a while now. Unfortunately I do not know the exact location of which found, but I think it's in Massachusetts. I do not know the Mohs hardness yet. But, it the rock is basically A light gray - blue base with dark red stripes wrapping around the rock. One more detail is that on the other side, there is TINY specks of a sort of light pink color.
