Found this near the ocean. It is very magnetic.
Seeking help to identify if slag or meteorite? Or perhaps it is something else?

I know this is agate, but what about the rust color? Is that just an iron deposit? And is it a specific agate? It’s the best agate I have found away from a coastline and I am curious about it!
Found in creek near kettle river in South Okanagan, British Columbia
Item reacts to a magnet but will not stick. The item also will not scratch or mark. It also has rust or discolorations on it. Any ideas would be helpful. Thank You!
My mother and I took this very bright red rock inside the car (Isle of Skye, Scotland). However as soon as my mother (who touched it barehanded) layed it down, it broke into a big piece, it was quite granular and easily breakable so we threw it away and disinfected our hands right after. Doing a quick research on google lens it suggests it can be cinnabal, which is highly toxic when it breaks. We're still in the car potentially inhaling the dust of the broken pieces. Can you help identify the rock and suggest what should I do?
Hello everyone, I found this rock whilst out for a walk in the Sebino peat bogs in northern Italy. I was particularly struck by its colour and by the fact that two of its corners have smooth fractures, whilst the other two have a very subtle zigzag pattern that’s easy to feel when you touch it. Could you tell me what sort of stone it is?
I’m wondering if it might be flint...
It has the same hardness as hyaline quartz
Is this amber? (I’m really hoping so! - if not, still looks cool). Found in Mundesley, Norfolk, UK
Posting again with more pictures :)
Found this smooth, dark rock in a central Texas river bed. Theres lots of limestone with fossilized sea shells around the river. Any idea of what it could be?
Set off my metal detector, just not sure what it is. Thanks!
(Found in savoie france)
I found it on a dirt path and i didnt see any other.
Its really shiny but only on the face that seems cut the rest looks like a lead ball
We often put poles in the ground and deal with alot of rocks but these just look different.
Not sure if its a fossilized tooth maybe or what mineral it is but its slightly magnetic toward the thicker area, it was found in south mississippi.
Found several of these in a lake in south east. Really pretty i like the mix of clear and black
It is smooth, black, and rouch edges, similar to black onyx.
But when shin upon light on this specific spot this rainbow shine appears.
Can anyone help me ID these rocks? I bought a few hundred pounds of them as part of a large collection here in Montana, but am not sure where they were originally dug up. Striations of the cut surfaces are saw marks. They are hard, dense, and heavy.
my stepdad has been really into gold prospecting lately and found this while sifting through dirt and rock (limestone, quartz, etc.) it’s very hard and silver. any ideas?
