I used to overthink everything.

Small decisions, conversations, even things that didn’t matter that much. It felt like my mind was always “on.”

I tried productivity tips, routines, even taking breaks-but nothing really stuck.

What surprisingly helped was something very simple:

I started repeating a few sentences to myself every day.

Not in a “fake motivation” way, but just as reminders when my thoughts started getting messy.

These were a few that worked for me:

  • I don’t need to figure everything out today
  • Not every thought deserves my attention
  • Progress is enough

It felt pointless at first, but after a while, it actually made a difference.
My mind got a bit quieter, and I stopped reacting to every single thought.

Curious if anyone else does something similar—or has their own go-to thoughts that help when things feel overwhelming?
