This is literally the last panel where Asa takes action against Yoru on her own, and from what we saw, ignoring this opportunity, which she created with the last of her strength, only made things worse.

It wasn't going to be a happy ending, but Asa could have brought Yoru down even at the peak of her power, instead of whatever happened to her in the end.
