1 year and 3 month old Female cane corso
Today I had a friend come over so I could use his truck to pick up some heavy items to move into my home I put my baby into her kennel and after finishing the move I wanted my Male friend come to meet her I’ve had plenty of people come over in the past and she has never in her life ever growled or barked deeply how she did when she met him she wines from time to time and maybe even a high pitched bark when she wants something but today I seen something that kinda threw me off the minute she laid eyes on him she let out a very deep growl this is the first time I experienced this with her it’s like something randomly came over her seeing him she started to bark aggressively and growl deeply at him before this day I have always seen her as my big baby and never truly realized the fear she can put into another man. I am posting this to ask for advice from other cane corso owners is this common once they hit a certain age ? Has anyone randomly seen there once baby turn into a protector? It’s like she switched in an instant and went into protector mode over me.I know it might sound crazy I got her for this exact reason but I’m assuming her being my little baby for so long I never expected this to happen randomly any advice on what I could do as a cane corso owner? It felt like if I let her out she would have attacked him on the spot please leave some useful information for me thank you!
