What do you when you wake up in the middle of the night?
reddit.comTips for Understanding Movies
I’ve been learning Spanish for about two years now using Duolingo and weekly lessons with a Spanish teacher.
I can read much better than before and I can usually handle basic conversations, but I still struggle a lot when watching movies or TV shows in Spanish. Native speakers just seem to talk so fast, and sometimes words blend together completely for me.
What’s frustrating is that if I pause and replay a sentence slowly, I often realize I actually know most of the words individually.
For people who got past this stage, what helped the most?
Did you use subtitles?
Specific shows or YouTube channels?
Just more listening time?
Or is this something that suddenly “clicks” after enough exposure?
Run run run!
