How soon is too soon to sell

Looking for some insight on our situation.

In February we bought a house on Long Island, NY. We bought for 420k 2br 1 bath on .5 acre. We used the VA home loan with 10k down. We recently ran into an opportunity where if we took it, we would have to sell the house. My question is would it be possible to break even or would we end up spending money to sell. I have a feeling I know the answer but looking for some advice on this.

Edit to add: Our “zestimate” is now $427,200. We have added new flooring, new roof, new oil tank and new indoor paint into the home as well. And converted the back outdoor room into an extra room. I should’ve added this into my original post. Now that being said, we’re not looking for ROI on these. We basically are looking just to not have to pay any money out of our pocket in the end of selling.

6m old with eczema

Hi All,

Coming here as I’m at a loss and looking for some insight. My 6m old son (almost 7m) has been dealing with eczema pretty much since he was born. At first we were able to keep it at bay with OTC eczema creams, but as time goes on it seems like even switching creams, they’re working less and less. My son is so itchy he’s constantly scratching at himself regardless of how many times we put the cream on him. Recently he had a bad reaction to pollen (his whole face swelled got very red) and he was put on a steroid for 3 days along with benedryl. Just those three days his skin cleared up and truly never looked better, he seemed so relieved. 3 days after his last dose his skin flared again.

Our primary has referred us to dermatology since he’s now 6 months and is finding minimal relief. They seem to think he will end up on dupixent. We have an appointment with them next week but I guess my question here is has anyone experienced moderate to severe eczema with their baby? If so what advice do you have & if anyone has any thoughts or advice about dupixent I’d love to hear it! I just am having a hard time with figuring out the right thing to do.

Hey everyone. Looking for some advice as a first time home owner. We are in the market for a roof replacement. Small back story We have a leak in the back of our 800 sqft home and the roof overall definitely needs to be replaced. We have two rooms off the back of the house, one has a 3 pitch and the other is flat with the incorrect roofing on it (room with the leak). It needs about 4 boards of plywood. There’s currently only one layer of shingles on there.

What is an average price? (Located LI, NY).

We have had two quotes so far. One was $6400 and the other was $16,000 so vastly different. They both were great and extremely nice. The 16k, one kept telling us they’re the best around, pulled up their reviews and their profile with the BBB, etc. they sent an email out the day before saying their prices are increasing as of 6/1, gave discounts for booking same day as estimate and such.

Just curious what the average price is, what to look out for and what are some red flags/green flags when choosing a company.
