For everyone posting and complaining about having a one page assignment due the first week of this term in addition to the discussion post: welcome to college. Please stop complaining because #1, a one page assignment is a cake walk. If you can’t do that, you don’t need to be in college. #2, Trust me when I tell you that it could be SO much worse, and honestly, probably will get worse over time. Every course is different. Some are easy A’s, and some, you actually HAVE to work. Getting a degree is not an easy task, so if a one page paper scares you in your first week, respectfully, maybe college isn’t for you. #3, If you were an on campus student, it would be a LOT more work than that! & #4, as I replied to one of the MANY threads I’m seeing posted regarding additional week one assignments— For ONE of my classes this term, JUST for mod one I had a discussion board post (to which I had to respond to two classmates as WELL as respond to anyone who responded to me, professor included) as well as one ungraded but mandatory pretest, THREE graded exams, one journal assignment, one paper, 2 chapters (each 40+ pages long) of textbook to read, 18 mandatory resources to review (yes, 18), 16 terms to learn, a separate terminology quiz, and a partridge in a pear tree.
