Light boards with vision impairment?

I know this is super niche but it’s worth a shot!

I’m thinking about getting a light board but one thing holding me back is my eyes are very sensitive to light due to my retinal disorder.

I totally get how they would help me see what I’m doing better, especially with VI, but would the sensitivity kinda cancel the help out?

Would love any feedback or thoughts on light boards from anyone with vision impairment!

(please note vision impairment is very different from bad eyesight/needing glasses. So feedback from that angle will not be helpful.)

A few months ago I signed up for the Kobo Plus free trial. I was just trying it out, decided my local library is just fine for my book needs, and cancelled.

I cancelled with no problem, the app even shows exactly when the free trial expired (second photo)

But still, a full month after the subscription officially ended, I get this pop up notification every single time I open the app. I can’t figure out how to turn it off and it’s driving me a little batty.

If you’ve had this issue any advice is welcome!
