Second canvas complete! And first square drill

Villa & Winery by Make Market🌳🍇 (10x8in, 25x20cm)

I finished this one in a week!! Much faster than my first canvas that took a month

There’s obviously a good amount of gapping, but I was honestly impressed at how well the drills straightened out with how crooked I was placing them! I only have one other Make Market square kit, so I’m going to make sure I do that before I start one of the high quality square kits I have coming in the future (Manola & Jaded Gem Shop😍)

This was basically all confetti, so I loved it!!!! But I know that would be someone else’s nightmare lol

Xmas in July

Finished this DAC gem house as a gift for a family member. Luckily I saw it come back in stock last month and ordered one. It was fun to do for something to break up working on my larger canvas. Sealed it with Minwax Polycrylic to make sure drills won't come off.

Single vs multi placing - feel bad going back to singles (darn neuro spicy brain!)

Ok, so for the first 5ish years I did single placing and enjoyed it (I am good at getting straight squares.) it’s the journey not the destination, right? Then I tried multi placing and disliked it, I could never get it straight. Decided that was a skill I needed to work on (in a positive way) and forced myself to do it to get better. I did get much better with practice, moved from 3 to 7 eventually. I’m not great but much much better.

But it’s sooo much faster and satisfying to finish to do a new DP (hellooo ADHD) when I use the multiplayer to get through blocks of colors (or even 3-7 drills next to one another, when it’s not an actual block of color if that makes sense?). So now I almost feel bad (that’s not the exact feeling but the closest I can articulate at the moment) when I go back to single placing an entire DP bc I know I can get it pretty darn square. My brain is stuck on it takes longer to place 5 drills individually than 5 in a placer so the overall DP takes longer to do. But placing drills straight is so satisfying!!

Can y’all help me to reframe my brain’s thinking about single placing feeling wrong? please and thank you in advance!!

Latest completion!

This was a nice smaller one to do after my last was pretty big. I think this one turned out really well. I started diamond painting last summer and I’ve completed 15 diamond paintings this year!

What do you do with your spare diamonds?

Hello! I am looking for advice on what to do with all of these diamonds. They're all from finished projects and projects where the canvas got damaged. I've kept them over the years thinking I'd do something with them, but its been 2 years since i stopped making diamond art paintings, and i still dont know what to do with them!! Im looking for ideas on what to do. Or if there is anyone in New Zealand who would use them, I'd happily pay and post them to you. Im sorry I can't post to other places as postage outside of New Zealand is crazy!!

Bored of a canvas

Does anyone else get bored of a large canvas and go on a side quest with a new canvas? I did this yesterday and I feel guilty about it for some reason. Like I’m neglecting the big canvas 🤣😭 I know that’s illogical though.
