DAC canvas not sticky and no help from customer support

Hi all,

Recently, I started on my first DAC, which I received about a month ago. So it’s brand new. I started working on it, but after a while I noticed I got really annoyed because the drills kept sticking to my pen. Upon further inspection, the canvas is not sticky at all! The glue layer seems to be ultra thin and simply does not grab the drills.

I contacted customer support about this and after trying to sell me their glue, which I didn’t accept, they basically gave me two options:

  1. Get a 100% discount code for glue.

  2. Get the glue for free on my next order.

Both of these options requires me to pay extra money, one for international shipping costs, two for the extra order.

I emailed about this, could they please send it without additional costs to me, but now it seems they’re ghosting me. Is this normal? What can I do? I’ve never experienced a company who treats their customers like this. I just want to enjoy this canvas…

Is it just me? My first Diamond Art Club kit was… kinda disappointing.

So I finally tried Diamond Art Club because everyone online talks about it like it’s the holy grail of diamond painting. I was honestly excited — I thought I was about to experience some kind of magical, crunchy, ultra‑satisfying diamond‑placing bliss.

But… nope.

Here’s what threw me off:

The symbols weren’t clear at all. The green ‘arrow’ is the worst, it’s missing one part of the symbol completely. For a brand that’s supposed to be top tier, I expected crisp printing, not a guessing game. I’ve never experienced this before, not even with the very very cheap canvases.
The drills didn’t crunch. And yes, I know that sounds silly, but if you diamond paint, you know the crunch matters. It’s part of the whole sensory satisfaction. These drills just… sat there. No click, no snap, no tiny dopamine hit.
Everyone is so lyrical about DAC, talking about how it’s life‑changing, premium, flawless, etc. I genuinely don’t understand the hype. My experience felt pretty average — maybe even below average compared to cheaper kits I’ve done.

I’m not trying to drag the brand; I just expected something special and didn’t get it. Maybe I got a weird batch? Maybe DAC just isn’t for me? Curious if anyone else had a similar “wait… is this it?” moment.

Best kit ever?!

Hi guys, I’m have been lurking in this subreddit and have not yet posted anything, so excuse me if I’m out of line in any way.
I’ve been diamond painting for about half a year now and really loving it. Till now, I’ve tried some kits from Amazon, local vendors and Shine ab dp store on Aliexpress. Especially the last one is nice. But my current kit is from Homfun and I’m totally in love! The drills fit so nicely, there is zero gapping! They have this pyramid shape which is awesome. And the rendering’s been done so well. I’m savoring this last bit of work, I really don’t want it to be finished. Has anyone ever had a similar experience with any kit and where did you get it?
