I really like how this turned out! I enjoy turkeys (I've raised a fair few over the years), and the pairing of the white and the plaid backgrounds is a nice touch. Since it's a pre-mounted canvas, I'm going to seal it & hang it up with my fall decor!
Been up since 4:45am to get an early start at work and was done by noon. Since I've gotten home, I've been able to sit & continue working on this handsome bird! I think I'll spend a couple more hours working on him until my brother's get-together & fireworks tonight 🎆😁
To my fellow Americans here, Happy Independence Day!
I'm so excited to be working on this handsome bird! I've been itching to start this painting for a few weeks now, but had to get my last painting done first & that took longer than expected 😅 Also trying my hand at multiplacing squares again. It's never been my strong suit, but I feel it's coming along pretty well!
I adore how this turned out & it was a fun project, but goodness, I'm glad it's finished. I'm ready to work on something without so much white 😅 Oh and you can hardly see it in the first pic, but the 2nd shows the pattern of fairy dust drills I incorporated onto the background. In some lights, they're hard to see, but in others, they suddenly appear and add a neat extra sparkle.
