Odin2 Portal: Wired controller / retroarch issue - disconnects upon entering menu
Hi all,
Reaching out for some suggestions, as I have no been spinning my wheels for over a week with Google and AI to try and sort this out.
The issue I'm experiencing is in Retroarch when I'm docked to my TV via HDMI. I have one wired controller plugged in to the dock via usb. Everything always works like a dream for a little bit. Playing games, navigating menus, switching games, switching between system/retroarch. Works as intended. However without fail, usually about 10-15min into a session, if I enter the retroarch menu (either via hotkey, or controller combo) retroarch seems to stop recognizing the wired controller and I have to get up off my lazy ass and fidget around to get everything working again. Does not matter which core I'm running.
I have tried (what seems like) everything. Below is a list of options I have tirelessly tinkered with to find a solution. And I have tried an exhausting amount of combinations with all of these as well:
- Disconnecting native Odin controls (system)
- Disconnect native when external display is present (Odintools override)
- Assigning both native and wired devices to same/different ports (RA)
- Max users 1 (RA)
- Assigning device in both port1 & port2 (preferred and reserved) (RA)
- All users can control menu (RA)
- Input polling behavior (RA)
- Updated controller profiles (RA)
Any ideas on what else I could try would be extremely helpful!
