Feeling burnt out

Hello, have posted in the UK breastfeeding sub but I'm just looking for some support, maybe advice.

My 5.5mo is exclusively breastfed, doesn't take bottles or dummies, feeds to sleep, contact naps only during the day. Husband can get her down for a nap during the day but overnight she really struggles to be soothed by anything other than breast.

She was up every hour last night, she's teething, and my husband got up with me and tried so hard to get her to sleep but she was crying to the point of throwing up when with him. At that point, it just made sense to put her back on the boob. Husband kept watch over me to make sure I didn't fall asleep nursing her.

Logically I know it won't always be like this but I am struggling a lot with PPA, PPD and PP-OCD (getting support). I just need to know from others at what point it got better with things like contact naps? When were you able to transition away from nursing to sleep without baby becoming hysterical? I'm so tired, I just want some time for myself beyond the hour or two my husband can offer before my baby needs me again.

3 MO doesn't like dummies

Hi all, just need some reassurance really. My 3 MO doesn't like dummies. We've tried mam and tommee tippee from birth in varied sizes. She's now EBF but was combi fed for the first 4 weeks due to weight issues. It doesn't bother me that she doesn't take a dummy. She self soothes using hands but she only does that alongside sleepy and hunger cues, so of course I see to her needs. She's inconsolable on occasion, but it's been around bedtime when she's had a difficult day with reflux. I manage by comforting her on the boob, nursing to sleep and if I'm overwhelmed, I put my loops in.

My mum and MIL are insistent that she should be taking a dummy. My mum has also bought her breast like soothers to try which she hasn't taken to, but my mum has said it's because I'm not consistent and I need to keep persevering.

Surely if my kid doesn't want the dummy it's fine? I just feel like my mum and MIL's insistence catches me off guard because she cries a little, but it isn't like she's hysterical when they see her, which if she was, I'd understand. I've just had a conversation with my mum about this today to reiterate that I won't be forcing a dummy on my baby, that we'll try but, ultimately, we're not fussed if she doesn't take one.

Is it ok if my baby doesn't take one? I'm not insane for not being bothered by this as much as the mums are? 😅

Thanks in advance!

EDIT

Thanks all for your replies! Definitely not going to force a dummy on my baby and the grandmas are just going to have to put a sock in it about that!
