Sagging vinyl

Wondering how serious this is, and what the best approach to fix would be? Also. DIY? Pro?

Redoing the entire pool deck in a few months if that impacts any advice!

Newly opened, first timer, usually salt but no cell in right now

*apologies for chicken scratch. First line is HARDNESS.

Trying to figure it out while simultaneously vacuuming the insane amount of gunk on the floor. Recommendations?

Pool is estimated 20,000 gallons.

Started the year with 10 gallons of chlorine and it cleared it up properly. Now trying to get into balance. Have been vacuuming to waste --> backwash -->rinse--> repeat for a few days but cant be at the pool everyday.

Any help would be appreciated.

Vacuuming tips - wudya got?

Any tips from the pros or other masochistic homeowners?

I run the hose for 2-4 hours to gain 10 minutes of vacuum time. I’m on well so cost isn’t an issue though I imagine at this point I’ll be doing some chemistry after all is said and done. BUT. This feels insane or like I am terrible at using this vacuum apparatus.

Making progress but holy heck is it slow.

Landscape designers - key questions to ask?

Meeting with a number of designers/full service providers over the next week. Redoing my yard to improve pool deck, walkways, firepit, etc..

Any suggestions for things to mention or ask? Things to look for? Red flags?

I always mention the word drainage when talking to people to see how they address it. Otherwise any suggestions or guidance would be great.

What to do before …

  1. Cleaning the strainer in the pump
  2. Transitioning to waste or backwash

Trying to clear a ton of dead algae off the pool bottom and then backwash the filter.

Thanks all

First time owner - what’s the move

Never could have imagined the volume of water that sits on a full size pool cover until I watched a pump in action.

Any advice for future years? Dealing with debris? Better flair selection??

I need to replace ~5 feet of rim joist where this ledger is attached. What is the best approach so as not to sacrifice the deck here? The sill and joists also need to be replaced (or sistered for the joists)

I have a few people lined up (all around $4/5k) but none who specialize in structural stuff so hesitating hard. The only structural repair people I can find gave me what I would consider an f-you price ($20k+) after I mentioned I didnt want to sacrifice the deck. Perhaps Im wrong and theres no way around sacrificing it?

Is this a massive job that I am misunderstanding? It's a 3-4 foot crawl space where they need to work, with about 8 feet off to the side for staging.

Any guidance would be appreciated. Including setting me straight on expectations

Noticed drips in a few spots in the garage. Turns out the fancy new roof I was so happy about during purchase was installed using the old flashing.

Quoted $3678 (including tax) to:

  • Remove and replace two squares (200sqft?) of asphalt shingles
  • Replace 3 sheets of plywood where it is now bowed in
  • replace the flashing along the entire front of the house and garage, where the old flashing was used

Usually I get a few quotes but it is a very well reviewed company and the price seems right to me. I want to stick with them because they did the rest of the roofing so don't want to have a fight over warranty/issues in the future.

thoughts?

EDIT - images shown are samples from builder!

What are the must ask questions? Pieces of information Im looking for from the builder?

Hiring out for an extension to my current deck. They will also be replacing all of the current railings, as well as the railings on another deck and my front porch. Plus some outdoor stairs.

The guy in mind is an insured, one man operation, and is very good with coms. He also mentioned plans for permits, being to code, etc. Feels like good enough of a list to me but figured the pros could lend some words of wisdom.

Is it a red flag if someone does NOT use a membrane "unless on slab or required for heated floors"?

Im a newb but was under the impression it can only help to use a membrane, and is often required for long term viability of the floor?

Job in question is a 50 square foot half bath on the first floor over a crawl space. It looks like he intends to use backerboard.

I want to improve the area (grade/level) and put in a new pool surround area. It's huge concrete pavers that are insanely out of level with weeds and craziness sticking up everywhere.

What types of materials do you recommend for the sitting area around the pool? Stamped concrete? Pavers? Some stone thing?! All new to me.

Any big things to consider when underway on the project?

Any help or guidance would be appreciated and apologies if this is more of a design question than a pool question! New to the thread...
