D4S jp3 troubles
So i have a down4sound jp3 amp for my down4sound 10”street beat in my 98 s10 factory alt with a big 3 (i know JP isn’t liked a lot nor are his products)
Yesterday i hooked up 4 mids to a brand new 4 channel amp. That works perfectly, However my jp3 worked for a total of 3 minutes after starting my drive and shut the sub off at a stop light. once i got home a rechecked all my wires and ect. the jp3 turns on, has power but no voltage is coming out of the speaker wire outputs. at first i thought my RCAs were the problem so i swapped them out and tried again and still nothing. is it possible it’s my head unit not sending a signal out to the jp3? is my amp in protect mode and not showing the light? Did i possibly miss a bad enough voltage drop that somehow messed something up internally on the amp? any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. if it is the amp I plan on getting a different brand. thanks again!
