I have an almost five-year-old boy who picked up a lot of this from his play-based preschool, and it’s pretty much all he talks about. Please just tell me this is a normal stage and it ends??

Interestingly, despite (because of?) trying to arrest every other kid at the playground on a daily basis, he’s very afraid of ending up in jail one day and has cried about it before bed. (No real life exposure in this area. Just learned about it from school and maybe dungeons etc in books). Maybe this play is his way of processing that fear?
