I’m trying to change my oil filter but I couldn’t get it off by hand screwing it. I tried one of those adjustable oil filter wrenches but it was too long where it was hitting the ground. I then tried one of the pre sized cup oil filter attachments with a short ratchet however when I was using the adjustable one I shaved off the ridges on the filter so now the attachment is slipping. I can’t figure out how to get the filter off does anyone have any tips?

Update: I took off the fairing and used the oil filter pliers and I finally got it off. Thanks to everyone who gave me suggestions.
