Red clip on fuel line
Anyone know of a video where they’re putting this red clip back in under gas tank? They all show themselves taking it off but not back on

So I had my 24' Ninja 400 for about 2 years, recently sold it and upgraded to the Honda CBR600RR. Thought I'd share some side by sides and things I've noticed.
- Seat height is noticeably higher on the super sport. I have to tip toe now and moving in parking lots is more annoying.
- The turn radius on the supersport is considerably worse. With the handlebars fully to one side the Ninja turns much easier in parking lots.
- The gas mileage is vastly different lol. I used to get about 200+ KM on a 7$ fillup with the Ninja. The Honda gets like 150 KM and takes like 17$ to fillup.
- The riding position is so different. On the Ninja I felt comfortable in a relaxed upright position unless I really wanted to lean over aggressively. The super sport forces you into a leaned position. I guess the way the handlebars and footpegs are. It requires a totally different posture and my muscles are burning from this new unexpected usage.
- The vibrations aren't nearly as bad on the new bike. My hand doesn't go numb anymore from ripping it, but my back and thighs do.. lol.
- I thought the Ninja was pretty fast. The supersport is ridiculous. The force of the acceleration feels like I'm skydiving forward.
- The undertail exhaust produces a lot of heat on my legs haha. It's like a furnace it's insane. I also kind of miss the grumble of the LV exhaust on my Ninja that thing was amazing haha.
I'm glad I started on a Ninja 400. I feel like personally I would have been in huge trouble / probably died if I'd started on a supersport. I also feel like the 400 is a totally reasonable forever bike & very capable of doing everything you need it to.. I'm just an adrenaline junky and wanted an obscenely fast bike.
I use chain cleaner and lube regularly… but the rust on my chain is kind of stubborn? Should I replace my chain? Bought the bike preowned last year in June - 2019 Ninja 400, it’s at 17,500miles now.
Noticed a grinding sound around 10k rpm anyone recognize the sound for anything?
Please help
Dropped my ninja and found this bolt on the ground, checked over bike (2023 ninja 400) and I still have no idea where it fell out. Would appreciate any help!
This is my first time buying a bike, i’ve searched through r3s, cbr500, cbr300s and came across this ninja 400. It’s 2023 with abs and has 933 miles. It is from a harley dealership but they originally told me otd was going to be $5,830. I did some talking with them and they came back with 5,255. I then talked with my dad and he said to tell them 5000 cash and i’ll be back once the money transfer over, which they agreed to so no more hidden fees. It has no modifications and was a trade in with only 1 owner previously. Also no damage or scratches anywhere practically brand new and has never been dropped. Is it worth the 5k?
Anyone had experience with these exhausts? Just want to know if anyone had experience with using one of these exhaust slip ons and if it’s street legal (I’m from Victoria Australia)
It happened. It finally actually happened. After learning on my MT-07, gaining confidence on a Grom, then selling those bikes for my KTM 690 (pictured), my wife decided she needed a bike of her own. Enter the 0 mile 2022 Kawasaki Z400 (also pictured).
She was not comfortable or confident on the 690 Enduro because of the seat height which I sympathize with. I’ve been riding for 17 years and this KTM was my first bike with a seat height over 32” and it was a little intimidating to get the hang of. But I have the advantage of being 5’ 10” unlike my 5’ 5” wife……
So off to Marketplace where after much looking and contemplating and questioning and pondering and considering and then questioning again, we went and looked at a brand new 2022 Z400 a gentleman had in his garage (long story as to why he had a new 2022 in 2026 but that’s not relevant). The bike was a perfect fit. It’s compact, 30” seat height, and only 360lb with a full tank of fuel. Clutch pull is effortless, riding position is comfortable. It was the “whole package” so he accepted $4k is cash and she rode it home!
I’m stoked to have a wife that wants to ride. I can’t wait for date night to now include motorcycles!!! The 1 to 1 ratio of kids to parents is also perfect because I have room for 1 passenger as does she now….. life it good today. I’m very proud of my wife and happy to see her enjoying what she deserves!!!
Does this bike with 38k miles sound good?
Bought a 21 400 the other day and the right side fairings are pretty busted. I only "need" to replace the right lower, right upper/middle, the right tail and rear top center fairings.
I was able to find the rear center, tail and right lower all on eBay, same color, totaling ~$160. They are all mint condition. I found an OEM right middle/upper fairing unpainted on FB marketplace for $100.
Few questions:
How much are OEM fairings? Where do I even buy them? All I can find is aftermarket.
How much would it be to paint match the right upper/middle OEM non painted fairing?
Is there a better source for fairings for the parts listed?
Do ABS/Non ABS parts matter? Mine is an ABS.
New to me 2021 400
First bike, no idea how to ride but will be learning how on it. MSF course in 2 weeks
Just bought my first motorcycle. A 2023 Ninja 400 ABS w 19 miles. Original owner bought it, rode it home, got nervous, and then garaged it.
I rode it home and everything seems fine with it but as this is my first motorcycle and I’m new to all this, is there any concerns that it basically sat for a few years unused? Anything I should look into or have done to it?
Battery was just replaced. Other than that there hasn’t been any maintenance done on it, which I assume is not unexpected.
I’m getting tires changed for the season and decided to change tire and sprocket as well . I’m looking for acceleration, not top speed.
The price and parts in the cart good enough? The vortex v3 is what I need ?
Not sure if this is a good price or not from revzilla.
Please advise . Thank you.
The bike has got everything i want
Sports bike
Twin cylinder
Comfortable sports tourer ergonomics
Short stroke
Good power and torque
Japanese build and reliability
Decent modernization without some useless features (riding modes, etc)
Good enough for city and long/short highway rides
Good colours (much better than ninja 500 just black)
But since it's discontinued I wanted to know... Is it a hassle to own? Is it a problem getting parts? Any re-sale problems? Mechanic issue?
Or ditch it and look at ninja 500 and Aprilla RS457
Lemme know
Just sold this beauty. It was my first bike, and it's bittersweet seeing her go. These are the photos I shot for the listing. Goodbye, Ninja 😭
I’m going to do an oil, brake and coolant change for sure, just wondering if I’m missing anything.
Great day out at Road Atlanta working one on one with an STT coach. Trying to go from snail to turtle. Put the work into T1 this go around,
Had the tank off while I had my ecu out and sent off. I had it resting upside down to avoid damaging the fuel pump and tbis was the result. Tell me I don’t have to strip the entire thing and repaint the whole thing (I know that’s what I’m going to have to do)
