Obviosly MCU crossover but only for the magic of MCU Sorcerers.
Harry spent a lot of time in Diagon Alley his 2nd summer after starting Hogwarts. A good chunk of his time was fully exploring the contents of his vault. behind the massive piles of coins were chest, crates and trunks.
After the deaths of Fleamont and Euphemia James couldn’t bear to live in his family’s ancestral homes. too many such homes were being damaged and burnt by Death Eaters so he packed up the entire contents of the estate and moved it to the vault. all the furniture was shrunken to fill house size and neatly layered in chests, the contents of his family’s library the collections of books, scroll, journals, tablet, grimoires and private records were placed into crates, paintings, portraits, heirlooms, jewelr, weaponry, armor etc were placed into expanded trunks.
Harry had a blast poking through the crates in his family vault and decided to take a few of the items with him to study. one crate contained an odd ring of sorts as well.
basically Harry’s family once studied dimensional energies and the types of magic Kamar Taj taught. the Ancient one was one of his ancestors but she was killed and all the other sorcerers like her leaving all the knowledge artifacts etc to be guarded by her remaining family.
Harry would have to teach himself this new kind of magic and hopefully someone wrote about the dangers and left warnings behind.
you can also make it so that the resurrection stone is the soul stone if you want to include infinity stones in the story. The time stone could be what led to the time sands and eventually time turners.
it would be cool to find that the Potters or one of the families in Harry’s ancestry were responsible to ensure the shield around earth was upheld To keep dimensional horrors away. Maybe Luna shares that ancestry too?
he doesn’t know why but Harry Potter aged slower than his peers. sadly that meant he easily outlived them all. he retreated for a while after the deaths of his loved ones but it only takes a decade for him to get abominably bored. he decides that he could care less what anyone thinks, he may be grey now, he may be alone now, but he is still in excellent shape physically and still powerful. even more powerful now with a lifetime of experience and knowledge. what is anyone going to do that they haven’t already tried? he’s not bothered by the options of others anymore, he has no one left he cares for the opinion of or to not embarrass.
harry can finally be the sassy little $hit he has always been in his mind, finally let his intrusive thoughts win and there’s not a damn person who can do anything about it.
George Weasley as Godric Gryffindor
Daphne Greengrass as Rowena Ravenclaw
Luna Lovegood as Helga Hufflepuff
Harry Potter as Salazar Slytherin
its been 10 years since the Battle of Hogwarts. 4 unlikely people are living a double life with the assistance of Time Turners. to the public they are an Auror, a Shop Owner, a Socialite and a Creature Enthusiast, in their double lives they are Unspeakables recruited after the war to research old Magic and find a way to stop magical knowledge from further being eroded and lost.
No one had realized what would happen, what might have already happened. was it that they were sent back in their own timeline when the Ministry Building in Whitehall was struck by a muggle terrorist attack or had they been sent to a different one all together and there was no Salazar, Godric, Rowena or Helga here?
either way the magicals of the isles they consider their homeland are in desperate need of help. Few of them could do more than use their magic to assist in daily tasks. Yet the population was growing and there were just not enough adults with any sort of training let alone proficiency to teach them.
and so 4 very displaced unspeakables take on the names that were still spoken with reverence in their own timeline and seek to do what they had been attempting to do for nearly 10 years, keep magical knowledge from being eroded and lost.
Salazar had been an orphan for many years. his father died as he entered his adolescence and his mother and sister were killed just a couple years later. he retreated into the wild he had loved so much as a child when he father taught him to hunt and control the very nature around him.
over the years he has explored the wilds of the isles, claimed them for his own by placing his magic as a barrier between the creatures he protects and the mundane who would hunt them. he knows when someone with magic crosses his boundaries and often goes to spy and ensure they too are not their to cause harm to his wilds.
once in a while he will find a child, often left near his boundaries by their mundane families because they were afraid of the child’s magic. the older children he keeps with him long enough to ensure they can survive on their own and use their magic, the littlest ones he will leave where he knows pockets of magical families live. they need more than he can give them.
Salazar has magnificent control over the elements, he can bend nature to his will, flood a town and force its inhabitants to flee, control fire in his own hands, fly without assistance. he gets along better with creatures than he does with people and while he could blend into any setting of humans he prefers the company of the beasts. His ability to read people allows him to see what they hide from others and makes him distrustful, his ability to speaks to snakes makes even his own kind uncomfortable with him at times.
Godric knows not who his parents are or where he comes from. All he knows is that the servants found him as a babe and the Lord of the land allowed him to stay. He was taught small ways to keep his magic hidden by the servant who took him in, she was an elderly woman who ran the Lord’s kitchens.
Godric was a fast learner and always eager. He was drawn to animals and often wandered to the stables. He soon became noticed by the Lord and was put into service as a page, in hopes that he could learn well enough to become a squire and if he worked hard and was skilled enough eventually a Knight.
At 14 Godric had become quite skilled at using his magic to help in his chores without gaining notice. He excelled in his studies and was the best the others had seen with a sword at his age. he was able to go with the Knights and squires occasionally when they were called out to the surrounding villages.
When an alarm was raised about a child missing in the haunted woods a small group was sent to assist, Godric had been excited to go. The father of the child, a girl of 3 summers, said she had ran off into the woods as if compelled and thought she had been lured there. Rumors had been circulating for years about these woods and a hermit who lived in them. When they reached Salazar’s boundaries the men all began to come up with reasons not to go on.
Godric, eager and brave continued on his own, he did not realize that his magic was the only reason he was able to continue the search.
Salazar watched him and led him in a winding twisting path parallel to the boundary never getter any deeper into the wood and certainly no closer to finding the little girl Salazar had discovered beaten and near death barely able to continue as she stumbled into his territory. In Her mind he had seen the man who harmed her, her father had caught her doing magic and in a rage he beat her and drug her into the forest and left her for dead. It had been a couple of days and Salazar was still keeping her asleep so he could continue healing her.
The boy Salazar watched somewhat reminded him of his father, in the color of the hair at least. Salazar took more after his mother in looks, dark hair and tanner skin and less broad frame than his father had. Godric’s determination made Salazar curious.
after a few days of leaving the boy to his futile search Salazar began to lead him towards his home. The group of mundane men had given up the search and written of Godric as well. They were now back in the village.
Salazar flew in his Crow form back to his home to check on the girl again and prepare a meal for the 3 of them. The boy had been able to catch a rabbit and found a few plants to eat but it hadn’t been much for the time he'd expended his energy searching.
Godric finally felt like he was getting somewhere and when the dark woods lightened up ahead and he saw a small meadow he foolishly ran towards it. the vines in the trees caught him before he crossed into the meadow and he found himself held aloft by his arms and legs and even his torso was wrapped in vines.
a figure in a dark cloak with the hood covering his head and hiding his visage came towards him and removed all the weapons Godric had on him, His sword and 2 Daggers even the knife he used for meals was taken. no matter what Godric said to the man he just continued his search silently. When he finally finished the vines released him by lowering him to the ground.
godric tried to muster his magic to defend himself but he had never used it in such a manner and found himself stiff as a board on his back. When he looked up it was into a pair of disconcerting green eyes and a face darker than his own yet lighter than he knew some could be, longer dark hair hung around the face and matched the short kept beard. The face was scrutinizing him but the man made no move to harm Godric further. Truly he had not harmed him at all. Surprised yes, humiliated, a bit, but even the vines hadn’t hurt him when they wound around him and snatched him into the air suspended between two trees, even now when he fell it felt like the floor of the meadow gave way, like falling onto a pallets of furs rather than the forest floor.
Just before Godric was in control of his own body again the man finally spoke to him. He merely tsked at him as if he was a disbehaving boy and told him he was reckless to enter these woods alone and foolish to act against a mage in their own home. Godric said he’d been known to be called both reckless and foolish before. the man lowered his hood and shot him another look as if he was reading the truth of Godric’s words.
Godric had never met a mage. Oh the woman who raised him had explained that despite what the church thought people like her and Godric were just born that way. She had spent time teaching him to control his magic so that it wouldn’t be discovered by others. Taught him to use it in small ways to help lighten the burden of the chores she set him. But she had drilled it into him that it was not to be done in the open, not to be used to attack someone and that he should never let others know what he could do.
Now he felt himself in awe. this must be the hermit the villagers had spoken of, a mage. It made Godric’s mind spin with wonder rather than the fear he probably should have felt.
Salazar decided the boy needed to be taught, he had learned to hide who he was, what he was. How could he be himself, fulfill whatever destiny the world had for him if he denied his own nature?
“we will ensure you are no longer reckless nor foolish again boy“ were the words that began Godric‘s new life. Sala never did mange to train those traits out of him.
okay so on r/hpfanfiction I posted a request for founders era stories and added some of my own headcanon in.
I was bored and decided to continue to extend that and thought I’d post it here for anyone interested.

Helga was from one of the still Viking like tribes, she had been married young and her husband resembles a typical Viking. They are the only two magicals left in their little village and when the church comes seeking out a rumor of witchcraft they flee and wander. Collecting a few magical children they save along the way.
rowena was not quite noble but not far off enough to have been well educated and married to a wealthy son of a merchant from the east (I picture him being from somewhere like Persia) he too has magic. Rowena’s family has been magic for centuries but they hid it due to increasing persecution and she was taught in secret and to keep it a secret. Very intelligent and wanting to use her magic not be stifled she convinces her husband to help her seek out other powerful magic users who feel the same.
Godric’s mother had been a witch and his father a minor noble. She taught him secretly and his father pushed him to become a Knight. He hates it because he can’t stand hunting those like his mother And himself. He defects when they raid a village that does have a few magicals in it. One of the women he saves that day becomes his wife.
that Village would be the meeting point for Salazar. Salazar had always been different than even the other magicals around him, he was the only one who could speak to snakes and even the other magicals were Leary of his gift. His mother and sister had been caught in a raid when he was out of their village and he had become a hermit since. He learned plants and potions at his mother’s knee from a very young age, how to hunt, survive in the wild and use a sword and a bow from his father. Magic came easily to him and he didn’t know spells in a formal sense just how to shape his will, intent and imagination. He wandered the wilds often all over the isles and there are rumors of a druid that lives in the bog, a wildman in the forest or a hermit in the mountain. He is all 3.
Salazar’s people were originally caledonians before the Roman invasion. His father had passed down their warrior spirt and knowledge of their mages to him, his body under his clothes is covered in tattoos, not just fearsome pictures drawn on for battle but runic scripts meant to give him strength of body, mind and soul, additional speed and agility, to make him silent when he hunts etc. he’s not a twig but he is not overly muscled either. but people underestimate him because of his size. he too has rescued magical children that have been turned out by their families in fear of their gifts. He trains them in the wild and when they are sufficiently trained and can survive he sends them off to live in civilization away from where their parents had been.
the village was on the border of a dark Forrest where creatures and beasts were known to reside.
Rumors had spread of the magicals in the village and the Forrest creatures so Godric was a part of the party sent to clear them all out. Rowena and her husband had made their way because of the rumors as well hoping to find the man in the wood someone had told them about (one of salazars former apprentices). Helga and her husband had been looking for magicals families willing to take in some of the little ones they had rescued and had also been making their way there.
Salazar knows there are a few magicals families set up in the village by these woods, it is one of his more favored places to roam. he has set up a magical barrier to keep the mundane people from venturing too far into his forest. It is full of magical creatures and he sees them as under his protection. He has magic that monitors the village as well not wanting the raiding parties to seek out the witchcraft there. When he feels his monitor go off he comes to assist.
Salazar doesn’t kill any of the mundane knights or clergy that have come, not to say none are injured. He does make sure they go away thinking that they accomplished their goal and there was no reason to return to this place. He knows if he killed then all or they left defeated a larger party would come. He had been surprised one of the knights had turned on his own and was helping the witches. But the knight requested that Salazar also make the raiding party think he had died of an illness along way so he could be free of them. that village is the place the 4 converge, it’s the future site of Hogwarts and Hogsmede. Salazar’s forest is the Forbidden Forest.
Salazar had been orphaned in his early teens and he is now around 30-35.godric is younger barely in his twenties, Helga and Rowena in their mid twenties and their husbands a bit older. Godric’s new wife would be near his age. 7 magical people a little coven of their own each with a different magical background and knowledge. It is the main 4 who are remembered For the school because they had been the main teachers, Godric’s wife had focused on healing for the village and students, Rowena’s husband had been the one to procured what they needed and Helga’s had been the one to set up a farm and maintain it to feed the students.
the original structure for the school was the Abbey for the town. The town, even the mundane people in it, had not been impressed that the church and crown had come to raid them and tried to capture and burn several of the women and children (not all of whom actually did have magic). it was a very close knit little town and they had all lived harmoniously , the magic users helping their mundane neighbors. It was found that the newest of the clergy at the Abbey had been the one to eat them out and so they drove them out to protect the magical people. They repurposed the Abbey as a school for the children in the village and that they either brought with them or found in other places. Word began to spread among magicals and more and more children were being taught. Salazar had similar spells on other areas all over the isles that he monitored especially where children were likely to be left by their families in fear and he would go collect them.
it took the combined work of the 7 and 2 other groups of 7 to hide the town and Forrest entirely from the mundane population (except those already residing within). It became a refuge for magical families and lost magical people.
over the decades they began to seek out magical children among the mundane population in hopes of getting to them before they were caught or turned out or even before they turned against their own magic and became an obsurial. Some of the families refused to give up their children and this is where the cracks between the founders began. Salazar thought they should just take them anyways, it was too much of a risk what if the child was killed? Rowena thought they should compromise, teach the children but return them to their families for the planting and harvest seasons, Godric agreed to the compromise. Helga was torn she didn’t want the risk of the children being harmed but couldn’t bear to tear a child away from parents who wanted them.
over the years if going with Rowena’s idea several children had been killed when they returned to their families or the mundanes had sought out this school and village and used the children to find it. Salazar became against it. If the mundane born were to attend the school they were to sever ties with their families or not come at all. The others protested because it had only been a small amount of them there had been problems with. But every time one of his students were killed or turned against them Salazar grew more and more hateful to the mundane and the resentment of his fellow founders festered.
Their arguments became more frequent and less private, students and townspeople alike began hearing snippets or rumors of the fights. People misunderstood because they didn’t have the whole context. They thought Slytherin hated the mundane born students, he didn’t he hated their relatives. Because so few of them ended up in his house (because they were expected to go home and follow their fathers footsteps and had little ambition of their own) people took this to mean that he didn’t want them in his house either.
Salazar had never lost his paranoia about possible attacks so as they built on to the original abbey and constructed a proper castle he made sure there were hidden passages and exits should something happen. Under the original abbey was a basement of sorts that he expanded and put extra protective spells on, should the school fall under attack the student could be taken to this chamber and protected, it had exit tunnels that went beyond the village and under the loch so they would have an escape.
His fellow founders called him paranoid for not trusting in the spells already hiding the school and village. They teased him about his chamber of secrets. Those spells did not stop mundane people from entering the area though, it kept them from finding it on their own if they didn’t already know the location. Anyone magical or mundane who knew the location could bring others through the spells and into the town or school.
Every magical villager, teacher, student and visitor that lent a hand in the construction of the school poured magic into it. There was not another place like it in all the world that they knew of. Every stone used was cut, transported and formed by someone’s magic, the mortars were mixed by magic, the stones were set by magic.
The founders and other masters who assisted were fond of experimentation, never before had they had a place to be so free with their magic and so they left their mark on the school. Staircases that developed a mind of their own, secret passageways that appeared and disappeared on their own schedule, a beautiful view into the sky above in the great hall, and rooms that defied understanding.
Some of it was on purpose and others were a happy accident. But the more magic poured into the place, a concentration of magic unlike any other, the more the combined intentions gathered into a collective personality. The place itself was so steeped in magic that was mean to foster protection, learning, and creativity that the castle became aware of itself.
When the population of students became a burden to the staff it was decided that they required more help to care for the castle, the farm and the students. Yumbos had been suggested and were brought from afar to be the caretakers for the castle and students. They cleaned, cooked and tended the farm so that the adults and students could concentrate on education. They greatly resembles little elves and began to affectionately be called house elves. Helga and her husband had taken on the responsibility of overseeing and managing a these house elves.
The house elves added a new kind of magic to the school and grounds and their mischievous nature having been tamed with plenty of work began to mix with the ambient magic from hundreds of emotional and hormonal students. It spawned its own entity in time. What some would later name a poltergeist.
Helga’s husband was the first of them to pass. He had taken it upon himself to oust a young dragon from a cave in the nearby mountain, thinking that he could sneak up on it when it was asleep and pester it until it moved on. He had suffered a severe injury and expended what remained of his magic and energy in taking himself back to the school. His last words were to never tickle a sleeping dragon.
Rowena’s husband had been next. They had not had a child of their own until later in life and as he frequently traveled away from them to gather supplies and more scrolls and books his absence was not unusual. Helena their daughter had been angry with her mother who put more of her time and energy into her pupils than her family. Helena was intelligent too but always felt she would never measure up to her mother. When her father’s absence ran over long she argued to go and find him. In a rage at her mother’s dismissal of her own husband’s absence Helena stole her diadem and went to look for her father.
One of Salazar’s former students was dispatched to find Helena when news of Rowena’s husband’s death reached the castle and Rowena took ill. Heartsick that she had dismissed her daughter’s concerns and not been the wife and mother she should have been. When the ghost of her daughter returned Rowena lost her remaining will to live as well.
Helga in the absence of her own husband and some of her dearest friends became even more entrenched in caring for her students. To the point that she ignored the growing arguments between Godric and Salazar.
Salazar had finally married a few decades after the school began. His wife was nearly half his age but she had pursued him until he could ignore her no longer. She had come back with Rowena’s husband from a trip many years before he took notice of her. She too was able to speak to snakes. Before he agreed to wed her she had already been helping with the school. She taught the youngest of the students the basics of reading and writing. She also helped in escorting students to and from the school. Even after they married and despite her husband’s objections she continued to assist in escorting the mundane born children in returning to their families or coming back to school.
His wife, his dear sweet wife, the mother of his only child was what finally broke Salazar’s commitment to the school. It was one of the trips she took to escort a student back for the year. The weather had been poor and she was late in returning. His son was sent to find and assist her but he returned instead with a body. His dear sweet wife had been ambushed, there was evidence of a blow to her head and she had been drowned in her injured state unable to use her magic to save herself. The child had been killed after returning to the village for planting season and his wife murdered when she went to retrieve her after the harvest.
In his grief and for revenge Salazar burnt the entire village. Godric had come to stop him but Salazar told him that Gordric’s words were hollow.
When they returned to the school Salazar could no longer abide his once friend’s presence. They argued constantly until it came to a fight. It wasn’t even a fight with magic or weapons. It was an all out brawl. Godric had always underestimated Salazar’s strength. While Godric had a formidable physique from training as a knight and training their apprentices to wield a sword as well, he was no longer a young man. Salazar was older than he and while he was no slouch with a blade he didn’t train as Godric did, he was thinner and by all reckoning should have been easy for Godric to subdue. Godric only meant to keep his friend from going off again to that village to finish what he started. Salazar though still benefited from the runic inscriptions imbued with magic in his very skin. In the end, Salazar was the one standing and Godric the one defeated. Neither truly won though, their friendship was broken beyond repair.
Salazar had needed to leave and mourn his wife, he had longed to return to his wilds and grieve her alone in peace with nature. He had satisfied his need for revenge by ensuring the village was uninhabitable for the mundanes who had murdered a child and his wife. Never again would those people be able to return to that place as home. It too was now seeped in Salazar’s magic. Oh mundane could still go there even rebuild and live there but never again would they so much as notice the magic around them even if it were their neighbors. And the original inhabitants would never feel welcome in that place.
That Godric thought he would go back there to murder all of the mundanes hurt more than Salazar could say. His parting words to Godric were that he had warned them about the danger of the mundane born children and none of them had listened.
Salazar never did return to Hogwarts. His son, an adult by then had looked for his father and never found him. He had never forgiven the man he considered an uncle for driving his father away. His own children were students as so he remained. The following spring, he sought out the burned village his mother had ben murdered in. He and several other young families began to rebuild and settle there. It became known as Godric’s Hollow in honor of his father’s words that Godric’s words had been hollow.
Godric, his own wife, and Helga were all that remained at the school now. Neither were young any longer. Rowena had been nearly 70 when she became a mother and Helga was the same age. Now at nearly a century old all the three had left was the school, each other and the memories of what once was. Memories it was now too painful for them to share.
Without Godric and Helga correcting the misconceptions about Salazar’s words and deeds they did not notice when option of the man changed. By the time the too passed on it was too late to correct it. Centuries later it had been cemented in the minds of the magicals in the isles the kind of man Salazar had been. To the point that his own descendants began to believe it.
I’m looking for stories about the founders, completely their own storyline preferably. not reincarnation or time travel involving canon characters.
I’m really looking for how the met, the dynamic between them, who were their spouses, how did they convince the isles to send their children to them to be taught, the evolution of Hogwarts over the decades all 4 were there, the crack in the relationship between the 4 that lead to Slytherin being known as he is in the future.
how did they decide to appropriate Godric’s hat to sort the students? did it talk before that? was it always capable of storing things?
Did Slytherin actually build that chamber for a nefarious purpose? was it him or one of his later descendants that hatched a basilisk and kept her there? I refuse to believe he was always a dark evil git, at some point they all had to have been close enough to begin that venture and I imagine things changed over the years.
were their significant threats to the school and the children that made them put up more spells to hide it from muggles, that made Salazar not want to let muggles borns in?
did Salazar really not want muggleborns attending at all or was he frustrated with their lack of education from the start and then grew to distrust them after some betraya? or did he distrust their muggle families and want to keep the children from returning to them?
these are the things that kept me up last night lol, I have tried but so far I can’t find anything that satisfies the itch to know about the founders.

The Department of Mysteries only takes the most creative minds or otherwise exceptional witches and wizards, finding them is the problem. Every year a dozen Time Turners and a manual are given to those the head of the department thinks may show promise. these are not your typical devices. Less than 1 person per year out of all the candidates uses their time wisely enough that the DOM lets them continue with the project and eventually brings them in as an Unspeakable.
Those precious few who do manage to make it keep their devices their whole lives and tend to continue living a double life. They study the most esoteric aspects of the world and magic, make the largest impacts on magical society as a whole and push forward the evolution of magic more than any other, usually in both their lives. None but the Head and Deputy Head of the Department of Mysteries know who these unspeakables are or what they do not even the regular Unspeakables who have gone through a normal process to be hired by applying directly.
The Project begins for each participant while they are still in their Hogwarts years, usually after they have taken OWL exams. Occasionally someone who stands out as exceptional or an anomaly among their kind is given a chance as early as during their first year.
Manual:
Welcome to the Program, enclosed with this manual you will have received a specialized Time Turner. You have one hour to accept or reject participation.
- Loss of Time Turner
- Forfeit of all memories of the Time Turner, Time Travel and the Project. *We are not responsible for any addling of the brain that will likely result from the removal of such memories.
*****You pick what character and when they get chosen for the projects. There is nothing specific they need to do in their extra time, it’s a test to see what use they’ll make of their time, if they are the type of person who will delve into their education, begin experimenting, or any number of other things. It is also a test of how well they can handle living a secret double life and maintaining the secret.
Personally I gave one to Harry the same Christmas he received his invisibility cloak. it appeared on his pillow when he was the only one awake in his dorm.
looking for fics that Have Harry entering a marriage contract. not by force or because it’s some old agreement but willingly even if it’s only because hes being stupidly noble.
Ive already read Anorc’s Not With a Halfblood, that is sort of what I’m looking for
In which Dudley frequently asks his wizard cousin for assistance on odd cases or where he suspects magic may be involved. to avoid issues with the Statute of Secrecy Harry never gives more than his first name and claims to be a paranormal consultant he disguises his methods as what most muggles would consider parlor tricks or phony. he’s gotten good at using magic to do scrying with crystals to find people, uses the resurrection stone to speak to murder victims, even some real magic spells and a little wandless magic here and there. Harry plays up the eccentric personality and refuses to be filmed (saying cameras will steal his soul). Dudley at first is thought to be a bitter for even knowing this guy let alone actually using him as a consultant but case after case gets solved so despite the disapproval of his “non-believer” co workers he begins to get noticed and gets promoted.
Harry was bored anyways, a couple years as an Auror was enough for him to know he really didn’t want to work for the government. not like he needs to work anyhow so he finds odd ways to occupy his time and entertain his godson. Dudley asking him for help makes Harry tap into his inner Professor Trelawny and he feels like he’s actually making a difference again. too bad he has to be careful not to get the attention of his own former colleague in the Auror Departmen.
Breaking Her Curse
Harry learns he can claim other families in his own ancestry that have died out. For a bit of personal Revenge he even claims the Gaunt line. If only he’d known what it would lead to he’s not sure he would have done it.
The Greengrass family has been plagued by a blood curse for centuries ever since a daughter of the family spurned a Gaunt’s offer of marriage. Poor Astoria the current younger daughter has suffered under this curse her whole life, her sister Daphne would do anything to see her sister healthy and happy.
The only way to break the curse is for a Greengrass to marry a Gaunt willingly. The problem with curing Astoria is that the family died out with Morfin Gaunt and even his bastard nephew Tom Riddle hadn’t been an option because his physical body died before Astoria was born.
Finding out that Harry Potter has claimed the Gaunt line gives Daphne hope that her sister can be saved. Her sister though is already engaged to Draco Malfoy so it’s up to Daphne to break the curse.

Harry Potter realized just days after the Battle of Hogwarts exactly what it meant to gather all 3 of Death’s trinkets and then shun his shot at an afterlife.
Getting hit once again by the killing curse should have been the end of him for real this time. There was no prophecy in play, no blood or soul connection to an abomination tethering him to life, and no protection left from his mother’s love and sacrifice. So why did Harry find himself being shunted back to the world of the living once more?
Harry needed answers and since he wasn’t about to go shouting his suspected immortality to all and sundry he figured his best bet would be to summon those with more experience in such legends than himself. with that he found himself scouring the forest floor along the path he took to give up his life during the battle.
The figure that appeared was not who he thought he would get by concentrating on someone who could tell him the truth of the hallows or why he wasn’t dead again. He’d assumed it would be Dumbledore or perhaps one of the 3 brothers from the story, instead it was a figure that seemed to suck in all the light near them, their cloak shimmered like his own when he wasn’t covered in it the hood was drawn up and no discernible features could be made out.
Harry learned then that being the so called Master of Death was not a title that gave you power of the entity, all it did was give him the choice to master his own death. A choice he foolishly made before he knew what the consequences could be. By spurning his chance at the afterlife and choosing to return to life he was now barred from Death’s domain. Using the stone would be the closest he would ever come to those that had passed on already.
He was told how foolish he was for allowing any of the items out of his possession, the curses upon them would no longer affect him but they very much any mortal who comes across them. The stone would compel them to follow their loved ones into the afterlife and the wand would tempt them into power or bloodlust. The cloak as always would hide the user from any who mean them mortal harm but only for Harry would it work the same as the cloth it was cut from, hiding him absolutely so long as he did not wish to be noticed.
Harry said the cloak had never worked like that for him. Others like Dumbledore had been able to see thru it, he was told it was because he believed that they could and so they did. Harry needed to believe it hid him from all notice for it to work as it should.
Even though he secretly retrieved the Elder Wand once again Harry did not tell anyone he had it or the stone. Content to let those he loved who loved him in return think he was the same Harry he had always been. It took a long time for Harry to come to terms with being unable to die. It had a profound effect on the course of his life though.
Rather than risk discovery should someone get in a lucky shot against him again Harry chose not to go into a profession that put him in the line of fire. The backlash of that decision due to public opinion became more than Harry was willing to continue enduring.
He decided he needed to get away, not to abandon England entirely but to see what else the world had to offer. He may not have been able to experience the ultimate next great adventure but he had plenty of time to experience great adventures of his own.
*** Harry always seemed a bit of an adrenaline junky to me even if he doesn’t realize it so I can’t see him holing up and becoming a hermit. I can see him hiking mountains, diving in the oceans, plundering ancient magical ruins, tracking dangerous beasts, going on an expedition to find a nearly extinct plant in uncharted jungles.
this could also be used with multiple other fandoms for crossovers where he stumbles upon magic from different fandoms.
It’s an adult Harry raises his younger self fic, starting from 4th year. He’s already ready raised a teen boy (Teddy) before getting knocked back in time so he has the experience of navigating teen boy issues.
I need ideas for giving canon Harry a kick in the butt about girls, dating, the your body is changing and it’s normal talk, the sex talk, proper grooming for a teen boy (shaving, actually taking care of hair, proper use of cologne, not accepting Dudley’s sloppy seconds when he could get himself proper clothing etc), and explaining what girls go through and why teen girls are moody. preferably in a still semi awkward Harry fashion even as an adult with lots of ridiculous euphemisms the more magical the better. Sirius can be in on it, maybe even andromeda and Ted Tonks taking a crack at it.
most of the story is pretty serious not a lot of funny parts but I want this part to be comic relief interspersed into the more serious stuff. Basically all of a sudden Harry has people who care about him on a personal level, they want him to do well, want him to care about himself, help bring him out of his obliviousness and give him more personal confidence.
with Ron and Harry fighting at first I want to pull Neville in closer to young Harry as well and he needs the same sorts of talks that aren’t delivered by his overly strict and modest grandmother or great uncle.
I know this exists I just can’t find it, it’s a one shot I believe where Harry somehow turned Voldemort into a footstool and refuses to kill him. instead he’s like the foot stool from Beauty and the beast and falls in love with a trunk?
Auror training just after the war was barely anything before Harry was pushed out into the field. He didn’t mind it kept him busy when he wasn’t spending time with his godson or trying to sort out the mess of his personal affairs now that he was legally an adult.
The trials for all the initially captured death eaters and collaborators had just finished up. He still dint know how to feel about the Malfoys. Lucius would be spending the rest of his life in prison but Narcissa would only have a few years there. Draco had been given community service, a heady fine of 1/2 the family fortune and 10 years of what amounted to probation.
Many of the worst of the Death Eaters especially those that had escaped Azkaban before didn’t come quietly and ended up loosing their lives fighting against being captured. Harry didn’t feel too bad about that especially when he clapped Neville on the back and told him the last of the LeStranges were gone.
It seemed more people were willing to rat out others this time around after seeing that the new Minister wouldn’t allow bribes to buy anyone’s freedom. Harry often receive anonymous tips on where people could be found. So it wasn‘t too much of a surprise when he recieved another little note delivered by a house elf who quickly popped away. what was a surprise were the contents of the note.
It wasn’t like the other naming a fugitive and a general location where they had been hiding, this one named an old woman and said that not only was she a sympathizer of the Dark Lord but that she also has something in her possession that belonged to Harry now But had once been the Dark Lord’. He thought the writing seemed familiar but honestly so many of the purebloods had that same copperplate calligraphy type style of writing it was too had to tell.
Harry went to Kingsley about it first, if it was a personal matter he didn’t want to invoke the DMLE but he also didn’t want anyone saying he’d gone rouge if a problem did come up. He got permission to check the records for the woman and see if there was any significant magic used near Where her residence was. A few odd bouts of accidental magic had registered and the usual mundane spells of any normal magical household were all that came up. The only thing Kingsley was unhappy about was Harry’s decision to go alone.
Harry didn’t think it was paranoia if they were really out to get you so he was careful in his approach, he used the human reveling spell to check the home for occupants and kept his wand at the ready. 2 humans were in residence which shouldn’t have been, only the Rowle woman was Registered to this address. One in the down stairs and another on the second floor. Better safe than sorry and since he already had Kingsley’s blessing to do whatever was necessary Harry hit the woman with a stunner the moment she opened the door. He had her disarmed, searched and trussed in ropes in seconds before he levitated her into her parlor so he could search out the 2nd presence and see just what was here that could possibly belong to him now that Voldemort was gone.
The sight that greeted him when he opened the trunk in a dusty spare room would haunt him more than his own memories of the cupboard under the stairs. A little baby frail and smaller than Teddy obviously unwell, soaked in their own filth, listless despite the feeble cries. Cries that he didn’t hear until he opened the trunk so it had a silencing spell to keep anyone from hearing the child. It was all Harry could do not to throw up when he picked up the child and they barely responded.
Not having any clue who the baby was or why this old woman who was well past child bearing age not only had them but was obviously hiding them Harry made a snap decision and called for Kreacher, he could take the baby to Andromeda and Harry knew she would know what to do to help the child for now. Kreacher was angry about the baby, he explained to Harry that this child was family, a Black. He couldn’t tell who the parents were but he the bond to Harry and the Black family meant he could feel who were family and who were not.
It angered Harry even more because there was only 3 possibilities in his mind of people with Black Blood who could still be connected to Kreacher and had poss been the parent. One was in prison, one was dead and the other would have counted more as a Malfoy than a Black. The baby had been so so small he wasn’t sure how old they were, had to have been born before the battle of Hogwarts at least but if that was the case the child was in even worse condition than he thought. He sent Kreacher to take her to Andromeda and let her know Harry would explain later but to keep it private for now.
Harry had a feeling the child was what he had been meant to find. He didn’t know who sent that note but he now had a suspicion, Draco’s sentencing had been just yesterday and he’d been in Azkaban awaiting trial until then. Harry couldn’t think of anyone else who’d have known about a baby born to a Black that would have tipped Harry off about it.
Harry made his second snap decision and after interrogating Rowle in a manner more fit for Snape he had his answers about the baby girl And Rowle had about as much of her memories left as Gilderoy Lockhart did. He quickly went through the house and erased any trace that the baby had ever been there, retrieved the rather sizable bag of Galleons that had been meant to pay for the care of the child and left the woman a jibbering mess in her own parlor, a snapped wand the only indication anything had happen at all. He would leave her to her own fate and kind of hopped she rotted there like she’d left the baby to do.
Harry had much less empathy than most people assumed he did. The war had stripped the last of his naivety and he wasn’t willing to leave enemies to come back another day.

About 10 years later Harry decided to switch career. He didn’t want the promotion to Head Auror and his two children Teddy and Iris would be starting Hogwarts just next year. He decided a year sabbatical to travel with his children before they began school was just what they needed after loosing Andromeda.
Their Nan, Andromeda, had lived with them and been there to care for the kids when Harry worked she had been the primary female influence in their lives. A Heart attack was uncommon in someone so young but Harry suspected she had curse damage from the war that never fully healed.
Andromeda had been one of only a few people who knew who Iris truly was. Who her birth parents had been. To everyone else she was an unknown orphan of the war adopted by Harry when he found her in deplorable condition and abandoned. Kingsley helped push Harry’s claim and adoption thru, Minerva changed the name in the book of admittance so any trace of her birth name was gone, and Andromeda had nurse her back to health weeping over her own niece and the last piece of a sister she had lost long before her death. Narcissa and Draco had been sworn to a Vow of secrecy lest they be held responsible for the conditions the baby was found in.
No one would ever know Iris Merope Black had been born Delphini Bellatrix Riddle. No one except those who knew from the start and no Iris and Teddy at least.
Harry had never hidden from them that they were adopted. He had let everyone believe Iris had a connection to the Blacks through a squib line and Teddy knew who his parents really were. Both children still called him Dad, he had been the only father they’d ever known. Now though they were also old enough to know. He didn’t want them going of to Hogwarts and hearing about the war from whatever fanciful polished tales had made it into the history books, especially not since he would be starting as the new Defense Professor there as well.
So he told them the story beginning with a lonely girl named Merope in a shack longing to escape her family, ending with the naming of his daughter after her biological grandmother and in the tradition of both Harry’s mother’s family and the Blacks. Iris a flower symbolizing hope, wisdom, joy and innocence but also the Goddess of Rainbows the light after the dark, Merope a star to honor the Black family tradition but also for the mother who loved her unborn son, and Black because she was a Black and Harry hoped that she would change the family legacy to something his own Godfather would be proud of.
Despite them knowing they were adopted Harry had always ensured his children knew how much he loved them, wanted them, was proud of them and chose them. When people asked why he didn’t give them the Potter name he would always laugh, he had a lifetime to have a Potter but these two wonderful children were the only chance he had to raise a Lupin and a Black and that was special all on its own.

I know a lot of people like fem Harry but every one I’ve read she is either a super Mary sue or some fragile little flower. are there any good fem Harry stories?
I’ve read the one where male Harry ends up in female harry (Rose) body in the grave in a different dimension and the one where Fawkes sends her an Teddy to another world and those are to my taste either I liked the plot but not her character
Once Harry knew that Magic is real he realized why his Aunt had forbidden any sort of fantasy stories or shows in the house, even Dudley hadn’t been allowed to watch those. Eager to see what all the fuss had been about because he assumes that if Aunt Petunia hadn’t allowed it because she knew Magic was real then there must be some truth to those stories. Harry spends the month of August at the local Library devouring every story full of fantastical magic he missed out on as a child during the days and his new school books by night.
finding that Merlin had been real only confirms for him that there must be truth to these other stories as well. he is sadly disappointed once the mundane reality of the wizarding world settled in. Sure talking portraits and ghosts are wicked but where is the singing flowers, disappearing cats, the talking trees, flying monkeys?
People are not meant to come back from the dead, Harry is less and less okay as time passes after the war. He began to retreat into reading the muggle fantasy stories that had gotten him through the horrible summers at Privet Dr. He begins to tinker and experiment. Why can’t he have his own Wardrobe that is a doorway to a his own personal world? The laws about experimental breeding won’t apply in his new world, He can have talking Badgers and Cheshire Cats, He could even figure out how to make Hobbits. If he pestered Neville just right he could probably figure out the singing flowers and the Ents, Luna he was sure would love to create bread and butter Flys. it could be his sanctuar, a place he could bring those like him who were just too special for normal.
