Advice

This feels like such a non-post but I genuinely wonder how other people would handle this. I moved into an apartment 18 months ago and in that time have had upwards of 30 packages delivered for the previous tenant.

There was one spell where about 10 got delivered in a week that weighed over 40lb total and I helped the concierge take them down to storage so the ex-tenant could retrieve them. When this initially happened I e-mailed our landlord/agency to inform them and they contacted her to ask her to change address etc.

This has continued over this time and I have returned about 20+ to FedEx/Canada Post/Purolator etc over the last year. The concierge unbeknownst to me has also been returning some I believe and I also think maybe keeping them for her so she can collect them during this time.

Recently there was a package that from the outside appeared to probably be worth a reasonable ammount. This was returned via FedEx just yesterday. The ex-tenant had contacted the concierge yesterday to ask if we could return it to her/she could collect it and we explained it had been returned to sender. I e-mailed the agency again to ask if this could be relayed to her and this really had to stop as there had now been about 4-5 emails to them about this ongoing pattern.

Then this morning I get a call from our concierge to say VPD has been here to try and get the package! I was genuinely dumbfounded as to 1) why someone would be this entitled and 2) why the VPD would bother with something so trivial. Fortunately the concierge very much corroborated this story of repeated behaviour and they apparently said that sounds like reasonable behaviour on my end and that was it.

I am going to email the agency and strata again but am sort of wondering if I should contact VPD or get some legal advice to send her a letter re: harassment.

It just feels so ridiculous and I know it is very much first world problems and trivial but it is quite unsettling when the police show up.

Any advice?
