Next steps

Hi. We’ve talked about getting rid of grass for a while, but haven’t taken the steps. Last year, I hired an organic lawn company to plant micro clover, but that didn’t quite work. About 4 to 6 weeks ago, the city tore up part of our yard and replaced some of the sidewalk. As shown in the picture, many of my neighbors have put straw down, but we don’t want grass to grow there. Should we just get micro clover seed to put down? Should we do straw then micro clover? Then for the rest of the yard that isn’t torn up- not sure what do with that either. It looks like I’m in zone 6a (northeast Ohio). Image is a tree lawn that is mostly dirt, with a replaced sidewalk.

Toy suggestions for my parents’ new puppy

My parents, kind of out of nowhere, adopted this 3-month-old Shepherd mix puppy from a local rescue. They haven’t had a puppy this young in over 30 years, and have never had a Shepherd. I’m going to get him some toys. I was thinking a Kong Ball and maybe a Wubba (my pittie loved Wubbas). Would these be appropriate for his age?
