Moving to Munich this September! Need Advice!

Hello! I got into LMU Munich and will be moving there soon. I am a little worried about a couple of things:

  1. What is the food scene? Are there any Indian tiffin services? And Indian grocery stores? I read about this place called “Dookan” but is that fr?

  2. HOW do I go about looking for a place to live that is affordable and also in a safe neighbourhood, close to LMU campus?

  3. Any Indian Community WhatsApp groups or something in Munich?

JHU program - is it too late to apply?

I am interested in a program offered in by Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, which has rolling applications till June 15th. Does it make sense to apply now, since it is almost end of May or does it make more sense to apply next year at an earlier time?

Interview for MSc in Human Biology - Principles of Health & Disease at LMU

I have an interview invite for this program - anyone has given an interview for this before -

  1. What all questions were you asked?
  2. What all should I study for their assessment of my bio theory?

I have gotten into the following programs:

  1. University of Melbourne: masters biomedical science

  2. Monash University: Masters in Biomedical and Health Science

  3. University of Queensland: Masters in Molecular biology

For reference: I am an international student, with a 3.6/4 CGPA and really good extracurricular activities - leadership positions etc. have a paper in the pipeline that’ll be published by December this year.

I’ve been hearing a lot about how Australian universities just use international students and so I’m having the following feelings:

  1. I don’t feel any sense of achievement and feel like they just took me in because I’m an international student. I mean, there wasn’t even any interview??

  2. Are these Australian unit even any good, especially when compared to UK/ US counterparts?

  3. I think what’s also contributing to this feeling is that they barely offer any scholarships - so I feel like they’re just milking me and I’m not gonna get anything of value in return.

I want to a PhD eventually which is why this decision is very important to me.
