Help tracing history of an imported 2018 Tundra 1794: no records anywhere. Where can I find real mileage and accident history?

Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a used 2018 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition (CrewMax 4x4, 5.7L V8) that was imported from North America. Before I commit, I want to verify its real mileage and whether it's ever been in an accident.

VIN: 5TFAY5F17JX722777

The door-jamb label says it was built in Texas in January 2018. The label is also bilingual (TIRES/PNEUS) and has a maple leaf logo, so I'm not sure whether it was originally sold in the US or Canada.

What I've checked so far:

  • CARFAX Canada: no report found.
  • GoodCar (NMVTIS-based): no title records, no mileage readings, no owners. Also no salvage, total loss or flood records.
  • Free Copart/IAAI auction archives (BidFax etc.): nothing.

Having no US title records at all makes me think it may have been exported new without ever being registered, but I'm not sure.

My questions:

  1. Which paid report is most likely to have real data on this VIN: CARFAX US, AutoCheck, or something else?
  2. Does the maple leaf logo on the label mean it was a Canadian-market truck, or do US trucks have it too?
  3. Is there another way to trace a truck like this, for example through Toyota dealer service records or export records?

I don't mind paying for a report, as long as there's a good chance it actually has data.

Thanks in advance!
