Hi everyone,
I’m not making cider, so I hope this is okay to ask here. I’m researching production options for a lightly carbonated non-alcoholic aperitivo, and I’m trying to find bottlers who understand carbonated glass and crown-finish packaging.
The format I’m trying to produce is:
lightly carbonated non-alcoholic beverage
187 mL / 6.3 oz glass bottle
26 mm crown finish / pry-off crown cap
acidified aperitivo-style profile
commercial production, ideally with a smaller first run if feasible
I’m asking here because cider producers may know facilities that handle sparkling/carb glass, crown caps, pressure-rated bottles, and smaller runs better than the typical canned RTD co-packer world.
A few questions:
Do any cideries or cider-focused co-packers do contract bottling in carbonated glass?
Are there facilities in the U.S. that can handle smaller-format crown-finish glass?
Is 187 mL / 6.3 oz likely to be a change-parts issue on most lines?
Are there bottlers, mobile bottling lines, or regional facilities you would recommend contacting?
I’m mainly looking for referrals or practical direction from people who have dealt with sparkling/carb glass production.
Thank you.

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for referrals to a co-packer or bottling facility that can handle a very specific format:
lightly carbonated non-alcoholic beverage
187 mL / 6.3 oz glass bottle
26 mm crown finish / pry-off crown cap
acidified beverage / aperitivo-style profile
commercial production, ideally with a smaller first run if feasible
I’ve been finding that many beverage co-packers are can-focused, PET-focused, or only set up for larger glass formats. I’m specifically trying to find facilities that already understand carbonated glass, crown caps, craft soda, cider, sparkling beverage, or similar bottling.
I’m not looking for general formulation advice right now. I’m mainly trying to identify the right type of production partner.
A few questions:
Do you know any U.S. co-packers that can run small-format carbonated glass with crown caps?
Are there regional craft soda, cider, or sparkling beverage bottlers that do contract runs?
Is this kind of bottle usually a “change parts” issue, or are there facilities that can run varied small glass formats more flexibly?
Any companies I should avoid or screen carefully?
I appreciate any referrals or practical direction. I’m trying to solve the production-fit question before moving too far into commercial development.
Thank you.
