Fellow stoner soon-to-be dad

Looking for opinions from former stoners here.

I use weed regularly as a form of relaxation and fun pretty much every day. I’d say I’m habitually attached to it, though I can go long stretches without it if needed.

Anyways, I’m going to be a dad soon! And honestly, I’m excited to significantly cut back on this habit maybe even save it for rare occasions only. I’m looking forward to this new stage of life and to being more sober, present, energetic, and mentally clear.

My question is: how did you handle this transition? What has life been like afterward? Do you still use regularly, or did you also significantly reduce your usage? Do you miss it, or has raising a kid filled some of the dopamine/reward that weed used to provide?

TL;DR: Pothead here who’s about to become a dad. How did becoming a father change your relationship with weed?

Thank you all for the amazing replies. I’m reading every single one on here and it’s been truly helpful for me. I appreciate it y’all!
