Indian used market is an absolute joke. Bought a PS4 Fat 500GB for 11k five years ago, just sold it for 13k.

I honestly don’t understand the tech pricing in this country anymore.

Back in 2021, I picked up a used 500GB PS4 Fat for ₹11,000. It was a fair deal at the time for a last-gen base console. I used it heavily, put miles on it, and figured its value would plummet over the years—especially with the PS5 being out for so long now.

Well, I just sold that exact same console for ₹13,000.

I literally made a ₹2,000 profit on a piece of hardware that is over a decade old at this point. How is an ancient, base-model console appreciating in value? OLX and the local used market are completely detached from reality.

Are people just desperate, or is the new console tax so high that it's pushing old tech prices through the roof? Either way, the Indian second-hand market makes absolutely no sense.
