First Completed Loom Bracelet - Would Appreciate Different Thread Suggestions

Hi. I finished my first loom bracelet after many partial attempts before this. Overall, I am pleased with the outcome. However, the bracelet is not comfortable due to the lack of a nice drape. I used Fireline, as that is all I have. I typically do peyote stitch and have been attempting brick and square. I need to re-do the bracelet anyway because I made it too big. I accounted incorrectly for the size of the clasp and it’s too loose even at the smallest closure. Would the bracelet hang any nicer if I used Fireline for the warp and KO thread for the waft? I still want to ensure some durability.

I picked up the Beadalon metal loom to try things out. It was a low cost option to try my hand at looming. And the Fire Mountain Gems tutorials use the same one. I realize the spacing isn’t ideal for delicas or seed beads, but is it a problem to have to pull everything snug to fit the beads together? I am picturing when I am done and remove the piece it will fly apart 😆. Most of the tutorials I have come across hardly seem to pull at all after they secure the beads. I got the hang of the process and would like to finish something so I can see how the whole process plays out. I just don’t want to waste my time if I’m not doing this correctly.

For finishing, I may need to do knots. I wanted to weave the tail threads along each end, but I didn’t leave enough at the starting point.
