Norse Airlines Delay
Hi guys,
I flew with Norse from JFK to FCO on May 1st. The flight was scheduled to depart at 12:30 a.m. and arrive in Rome at 2:30 p.m. However, boarding and departure were significantly delayed — I believe by around 2.5 hours, though I do not remember the exact departure time.
Our actual landing time in Rome was around 5:09 p.m., and we arrived at the gate a few minutes later, definitely before 5:30 p.m. Since the original scheduled arrival time was 2:30 p.m., the delay ended up being very close to 3 hours, but not quite over it.
I was wondering whether it is still worth filing a compensation claim with Norse or pursuing any type of reimbursement, even though the delay may have fallen slightly short of the 3-hour EU261 threshold. Has anyone had success in a similar situation, or is it probably not worth the effort?
