What are the best one-location movies you’ve ever seen?

I’ve recently fallen into a rabbit hole of “one location” films, movies that take place almost entirely in a single room / house / setting , and I’m honestly fascinated by how much tension, philosophy, drama, and storytelling great filmmakers can pull off with such limited space.

Some of the ones I’ve already seen and loved:

• Rear Window (this is my ultimate love)

• 12 Angry Men

• The Man From Earth

• Coherence

Both completely hooked me despite being so contained. It actually made me appreciate writing, dialogue, blocking, and performances way more than big spectacle films.

Now I’m looking for more recommendations.

Could be:

thriller

sci-fi

psychological

mystery

dialogue-heavy

indie

low budget gems

experimental

Basically anything where the limitation of one location becomes the film’s biggest strength.

Would also love if you mention why the movie worked for you : writing? tension? performances? pacing? atmosphere?

Need some serious recommendations for my watchlist.
