[27F] Me and my boyfriend of 3 years [29M] recently broke up but we worked things out the following day. My boyfriend went out the night we broke up with some friends. He told me the following day since he did not return that night that he crashed on a makes friends couch. A few weeks following I went out with a friend and she brought a friend she has known for a long time. We all got on the topic of our partners so I showed her a picture of my boyfriend. The friend instantly recognized him because she said him was really drunk and talking it up with her fiancé which is why she remembered him. This friend then asked how long we had been together so I told her 3 years. She then made a face and told me that night he had gotten in the car with a girl not a guy. It hurt but I didn’t think he would lie to me. Later that week curiosity got the better of me so I looked on his phone and confirmed from a text thread from his guy friend he supposedly stayed with that he did leave with a female and was at her house. I don’t know if they slept together but it’s been eating me up that he told me he stayed with a guy instead of the girl. I’m torn on what I should do. Do I ignore it or do I ask him for the truth or am I insane for still letting my mind lingering on this matter?
