I am once again asking for your help… $900 budget, go!

So, I’m both flooded & paralyzed with ideas & opportunities for what to do with this 4x3x3 ( I believe ) centerpiece aquarium that came with the house my boyfriend had recently bought before we met. Now, what do I do with it? (Kitty for cuteness & size). I have $900 left of my budget.

I’ll link my old post, but essentially we’re in the process of setting this aquarium up as a freshwater tank in an old saltwater setup. It’ll be difficult to maintenance, as you can imagine. Thankfully I’m a small person & can get inside, but that’s when I have everything ready to go.

Please y’all, from a former nano aquarium enthusiast I need scaping ideas & livestock recommendations.

I’d love gourami of any size, angelfish & rainbow fish I’ve seen together on a large scale & it looks quite beautiful. (My favorite fish are sparkling gourami, pea puffers, dwarf gourami, scarlet badis, & kuhli loaches, but I need to stock this tank to its size & to appease a 10 & 12 yo boy & girl.)

We added play sand today & have pea gravel & larger cobble stones to work with so far. I’d like a big piece of spider wood or anything dark & structurally intriguing like a stump I find outside even. I’m not sure how strong the outflow is but from what I remember it was decently strong & coming from the back top left.

Lighting is another issue. It has ancient tech with two uv & a white bulb. I don’t know what will penetrate deep enough to grow plants? Am I stuck to epiphytes & potentially some pots with crypts or val? Pearl weed? Thank you my friends. I have $900 left, what do I do?

I will have to watch the temperature of the water too as I’m not sure if it’ll stay warm or what!!
